| The Scarab Club's Gold Medal Exhibit is believed
to be Michigan's oldest continuing annual fine art exhibit. It is at
this member's exhibit where the best of show is awarded the coveted
Gold Medal - historically considered to be Detroit's highest honor
for visual artists. In December of 2005, the
Gold Medal/Clyde Burroughs award was presented to Joseph M. Neumann
for his painting: "Grade A Large."
